General Information

I was employed by the Pennsylvania State Police where I specialized in homicide investigation, cold case homicide investigation, child abduction, child abuse and missing persons. My last duty assignment was as the Unit Supervisor of the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit. I was responsible for the coordination of a state-wide Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit, specializing in crimes of a violent or serial nature, participating in the investigation and analysis of crime assessments relating to homicides, suspicious and equivocal deaths on a state-wide basis. I was also responsible for coordinating cold case homicide investigations across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Alongside my duty assignment, I also acted as the coordinator for the Pennsylvania Amber Alert and Missing Endangered Persons Advisory System, during which time I participated in numerous child abduction cases throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Since my retirement I have had the opportunity to continue providing training as well as case consultation. I have worked with both victims’ families and law enforcement in these consultations, bringing cases to a successful conclusion.

Investigation

All rates depend on the complexity of the investigation and the length of time needed to complete a comprehensive investigation. Rates will be determined during the initial free consultation, which can be hourly, daily or an overall fee for the inquiry.
I provide case consultation and private investigation to both private citizens and law enforcement. These services are directed to assist in bringing current investigations to a successful conclusion. I also provide private investigations for corporations or private citizens; these investigations occur when law enforcement is neither needed nor desired.
I do not investigate child custody, extramarital affairs, computer crimes or do any form of surveillance. I will make exceptions in certain situations. Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation.
During the inquiry, the client will be updated by either email or phone on a weekly basis. If something changes in the investigation, updates will occur more frequently. At the end of the investigation a written report will be submitted to the client.
All information acquired during an investigation will be safeguarded be me and held on an encrypted flash drive. A copy will be provided to the client upon completion of the investigation. I will maintain a copy of all information for future reference and liability purposes. The information is only available to me during the investigation and is not shared with anyone else.
A private investigation for families or private citizens is independent of any law enforcement agency. These investigations can be conducted even if the investigating agency has officially closed the investigation.
I will provide services for civil cases that pertain to my areas of expertise. For example, in many child sexual assault cases the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution has passed. In these cases, an independent investigation will be conducted to determine the veracity of the allegations.

Training

Training courses are dependent upon the subject being taught. The trainings normally range from one day to three days but can be adjusted for the needs of the client.

Many of the courses were developed for law enforcement. Courses can be adjusted and presented to any law enforcement, coroners, private citizens, college students or any interested group upon request.
Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation.

Course fees are variable, depending on a number of factors, such as course length, which course is being provided, travel expenses, and other variables. Fees will be agreed upon between myself and the client before the class.
